Taghazout Surf Expo

Artistic program

Surfing embodies a way of life that goes far beyond the sporting aspect. Artistic creation is a large part of this ecosystem, which has seen the emergence of its own disciplines such as surf art and pop surf music.

Paint on Board x Zaamom

A flagship event of Taghazout Surf Expo, Paint on Board invites the public each year to discover surfing through artistic creation. Surfboards become canvases, celebrating ocean culture and the imagination of artists.

For the 2025 edition, the spotlight is on Zaamom, an internationally recognized Moroccan street artist and bodysurfer. Born in Rabat and raised in the Océan district, he has forged a distinctive visual style at the crossroads of urban culture, contemporary art, and ocean-inspired aesthetics. His parallel journey as a national bodysurf champion brings rare fluidity and physical intensity to his murals, capturing both the power of the waves and the pulse of urban life.

Since 2012, Zaamom has transformed city walls, surf villages, and exhibition spaces into immersive experiences, drawing the attention of collectors, curators, and audiences worldwide. His collaborations with major international brands — including Hubboards — confirm his status as an artist at the intersection of art, culture, and lifestyle.

With Paint on Board, Zaamom offers a vibrant journey where surf, contemporary creation, and ocean poetry come together to celebrate the sea and its many imaginaries.
