Hatha Yoga / Sofia Chbani

Friday, October 24

Hatha Yoga involves holding each posture for several breaths at a slow, mindful pace. Classes begin with breathing exercises (pranayama) to cultivate a meditative state before moving into the postures. This approach helps you fully feel your body, deepen breath awareness, and hold each pose with precision and autonomy. A gentle yet intense practice, perfect for grounding, calming the mind, and experiencing a true inner pause.

Sofia Chbani

Sofia, yoga teacher and wellness retreat creator, was born in Morocco and lived 15 years in France amidst urban intensity. After experiencing burnout, she returned to her roots in Tamraght and Taghazout, immersing herself in the authentic Moroccan lifestyle. By integrating yoga and meditation into her daily life, she learned to slow down and transform her life. Through her retreats, she offers a dual experience: using yoga and meditation as tools for centering while discovering the true Morocco, rich in traditions, culture, and genuine encounters. Committed to local development, she collaborates with surf houses, local merchants, and artisans. Her retreats provide a sincere immersion, a disconnection from the hectic pace of life, and a reconnection to the essentials of living fully.

Yin Yoga / Glenna Larsen

Saturday, October 25

Glenna will deliver a deeply releasing yin yin yoga session accompanied by sound healing, with instruments such as Tibetan sound bowls, chimes, violin and crystal bowls. These two practices work perfectly together - sound allowing you to drop deeper into bodily relaxation in the poses, and surrendering in the poses leads to increased receptivity of the sound healing instruments.

Thursday, October 23 from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm
Friday, October 24 to Sunday, October 26 from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm & 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm

Anchor Point beach — meeting point at the Chill Area

Twice a day, we’re trading scrolling for sand and soul. Join us on the beach to clean the shoreline, meet new people, and protect the ocean we all love. In the morning, you’ll be paired with someone new and given conversation prompts to spark deeper chats. At sunset, pick up headphones with your trash bags and join a silent dance clean up in partnership with Silent Dance Morocco.
Everyone who joins will also have the opportunity to make an Ocean Pledge on social media using #TSE2025BeachClean. Each day, one person who pledges will win a meal for two at one of these local restaurants: Machi Mouchkil and Zaz. It’s more than picking up plastic — it’s about picking up presence, connection, and pride in Taghazout’s beaches.

How to Join the Clean & Connect

The Beach Clean Up team will be easy to spot and based in the Chill Area at Surf Expo. All necessary equipment (gloves, rubbish bags, etc.) will be provided by the Bahri Association. All we ask is that you bring energy, an open mind, and good vibes.
